Allie Fidler 2006 Outstanding Graduate
The Political Science Department’s 2006 Outstanding Graduate is Allie Fidler of Bakersfield, CA. Allie received her award at a luncheon ceremony held on May 20 in the Common Room on the University of the Pacific campus.
To be eligible for this award, a student must carry a GPA of at least 3.50, so it goes without saying that Allie has been a great student. She has also been quite successful outside the classroom where she completed two internships during her senior year. The first was with the League of Women Voters. The second was with Cathleen Galgiani‘s campaign for a seat in the State Assembly. Allie has also been an officer of the Iota Gamma chapter of Alpha Phi sorority and a member of Pacific’s Panhellenic Council. As a senior, Allie also worked on a department search committee, helping find a new professor of political theory. In recognition of her many accomplishments, Allie has been included in Who’s Who Among Students.
Following graduation, Allie will continue to work for the Galgiani campaign. She plans eventually to pursue an advanced degree in either law or public policy.
