We are Getting a Pi Sigma Alpha Chapter
Sorely lacking at Pacific has been a chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society. Without a Pi Sigma Alpha chapter, it has been difficult for the department to recognize excellent academic performance by our students or to encourage activity by our students as a group.
That is about to change. The department has submitted materials to Pi Sigma Alpha to demonstrate that we meet the honorary society’s standards. Pi Sigma Alpha has invited us to apply for membership. Here is your chance to become a charter member of the Pacific chapter.
To be eligible to be inducted as a charter member of Pacific’s Pi Sigma Alpha a student must be a junior or senior, have completed at least 10 units of work in political science courses, including at least one upper-level course, maintain a gpa of at least 3.0 in political science courses, and maintain a cumulative gpa that would place him/her in the top one-third of the his/her class. There is also a $30 initiation fee to become a charter member of the Pacific chapter.
If you are interested in becoming one of our charter members, contact Professor Brian Klunk for more information.
